Holiday card question!

Trying to decide what to do....

We have some extra boxes of Christmas cards from years past. They're just regular holiday cards with sayings on them, etc.

Since we got married this year, we were also thinking about doing photo cards with one of our wedding pictures.

Also can't decide, if we do the old cards, to include one (or a few) wedding pictures in them.

Re: Holiday card question!

  • The year ater we got married we did photo cards (only year we've sent Christmas cards).  They're more personal and you can only use your wedding pics this year, so do it!  And some are very inexpensive.  I think we did Walgreens online and it was very affordable.

  • Yea, I've been leaning towards the plain photo cards that you can't right on. They're only 30 cents each basically at Costco, so pretty affordable.
  • and if you do the photo cards, you can pick your fav wedding photo..

    i kinda wanna ask a friend to take a few cute pics of us so we could send out holiday cards.. hmm..

  • I was going to include a photo of us in our thank you cards (which, I suck, I haven't done yet). ;-; But my mom was like: no one will care and they'll just throw it away, which is probably true.

    I'd do a blank photo card with a generic message and date on it. It's cute and it works. :)

  • if you do the photocards "without the ability to write on them"....a friend of mine does these every year and she writes on the back of them with a sharpie.... so you *can* personalize it.....

    We did photo cards (real cards that folded w/ picture on the outside) for our Thank You cards, and ppl loved them.  They might have thrown them away eventually, but I got lots of comments.  I think it's worth it.

    I think photo cards are different. I was just planning on inserting a card-sized photo with the thank yous. I haven't thrown away a photo card or photo sheet card I've gotten ever, but I could see why an insert might get tossed. ;-;
