New Here - Moving question

Hello all! I just posted on the starting over wall and they led me here! I am looking to move out of the New River Valley area in Southwest Virginia, and I'm trying to decide between Richmond and the NOVA area. Any suggestions? I'm a Speech Pathologist in a public schools, and want to continue in the public schools. I'm going to start applying for jobs and sending in resumes in December - looking at Chesterfield, Henrico and Hanover counties. So just looking for some advice to help me make this decision..... I have always lived in small towns and rural areas, but I'm looking forward to "city" life and all the new experiences it has to offer! Thanks in advance for any help :)

Re: New Here - Moving question

  • NOVA schools generally pay more, but its a higher CoL.  Loudoun has the highest paid public school employees in the area, if not the state.  Each one has its good and its bad.  I would look to see where you can get a job to really make the decision for you.
