I decided to try my hand at making dresses for work a couple days ago.
I made the first one, a simple cotton dress, showed DH who, after some prodding to tell me how he really felt about it, said it looked like and amish dress and would make a great pajama! >_<
Dress #2 actually turned out cute, I would wear it around the house and to see family. Still not what I had in mind, but at least DH said it was passible to leave the house in.
Feeling better about my new dress making ability I made Dress #3 out of a really pretty brown velvety fabric. It turned out the best by far...except that it doesn't fit! It is a really stretchy fabric and I must have measured something wrong because while the other two were flowy from the waist down, this one is so snug, you can see every little bump and roll (
!) under it!
i don't think dress making is for me!
Re: Well that's just no good!
that stinks after all of the time you put into it. I am leary of trying dresses... they seem to much for me to take on at this point in time.
Just chalk it up to a learning experience and make a new one!
