Re: QOTD

  • I just finished To Kill a Mockingbird.  Don't have anything else on my kindle other than the free classics, so started reading Pride and Prejudice, but can't really get into it.  I'm in a reading slump right now, so don't have anything lined up to read next.

  • I am reading The Language of Bees by Laurie R. King.  It's book 8 or 9 in a series with Mary Russell and Sherlock Holmes as main characters.  I've really enjoyed all of them.

I'm not sure what I'm going to read next.  I have a billion options, but I'll probably do Brother Odd or a new book I got on Saturday called Mutants.  It's about genetic variation and the human body.

  • I'm currently reading a WWII book but don't remember the title. I have no idea what will be up next for me.
  • I'm reading Sisters by Danielle Steele. I picked it up for like $0.05 at a garage sale this summer. It's pretty good but sad.

ETA: Next I'll probably read The Help.

  • I'm reading Dragonfly in Amber, which is the second book in the Outlander series.  It's a good and easy read.

  • I'm reading "If It Was Easy, They'd Call the Whole Damn Thing a Honeymoon".  It's absolutely hilarious.

    Some of the chapter titles:
    Can we talk? Obviously not.
Sleep in heavenly peace, my ass.
Domestic bliss and other big fat lies.

  • I'm reading The Help. It's been slow going but I'm enjoying it so far.

After this I plan to start reading some of the classics I've never read via my Kindle. I have a list of 100 classic must read books and I plan to read as many as possible during my lifetime. I've read a small handful of them but I'm embarrassed to admit how many and which ones I have not read.

  • I'm flying through the Shopaholic Series as a fun read. I'm currently reading Picture Perfect by Jodi Picoult. She's usually a really good writer, but I can't seem to get into this one like all the rest. I also have the first book of Hunger Games to start and a few others that I have in queue.
