URGH just need to vent

I've been unemployed for about 6 months & applying like crazy.  I was making $40K when I was laid off and compared to others in the same field w/ similar positions was about $10K underpaid.  A couple weeks ago I applied for a job, sort of the same field but completely different industry, I listed my salary requirement as they requested.  Today I got a call from their recruiter & things were going great until she told me the position paid $25K a year...  Why would you even call someone when you're nowhere near their salary requirement??  Part of me wants to take it because it's a little more than what I'm making on unemployment & it'd be a resume builder, but part of me just wants to say no and move on.

I feel your pain.  I've been looking for six months also and it's difficult. Head up, things will work out.
