Who's surprised?

Joe Paterno's weekly press conference was canceled.

Re: Who's surprised?

  • Do we know yet if he had any culpability?

And on a college football note, BF's new neighbors are LSU fans.  Whyyyyyyyyyy, God, whyyyyyyyy?  :sob::

    This is my siggy.
  • Well, that settles it. You can't move in. LSU fans are completely obnoxious. Especially when they have a good team!

I haven't heard if he is legally culpable or not. I think that he followed university guidelines in the situation, but I still find it hard to believe that no one just called the cops when nothing was done. I could see the GA fearing for his job, but Joe Pa?? Hardly. Not even an anonymous report was made that I am aware of. In my mind, he should have done more.

  • You and I might have found our unity horse, Muddled.  Can we add Bama and Tennessee to that list?

    This is my siggy.
  • Obviously I hate Tennessee!! Ugh. That color is horrific and UGA will always be better than their excuse for a mascot.

I don't really feel a sense of hatred towards Bama. I confess that I was rooting for them this weekend. Mostly because they were ranked lower. (LSU's fan base was a factor, too!)

I will also take this time to confess that I would not mind it if Florida crushed USC on Saturday. Nope, I would not mind that at all.

It's nice to dream.  I'll just be happy if the Gators get more yards on offense than they do in penalty yards.

    This is my siggy.
  • OK, now I am surprised.  I didn't think Penn State would get rid of Paterno.

I'm sad that Paterno wasn't the man we all thought him to be.

I am a little surprised too. I guess he is more of a figurehead than anything at this point, so he's no good if his godliness is in question. I wonder what will happen to the assistant that was the actual witness. If JP is going, it seems like he will have to go as well, right?

This whole situation is really terrible. To think that some of this could have been prevented... To think that he set up a foundation so that he had so many easy targets... It's all awful.
