So my H's Kindle Keyboard/Wifi has had problems recently. He has had to do a hard reboot/reset (hold the button for 20+ seconds) a lot lately, and last night, even when he did that, he didn't get anything. For a while, he had a white screen with nothing. He then connected it to his computer and he eventually got the image of a plug and the words along with it, but then it was stuck again. Now, this morning, he was finally able to access his booklist but it froze at that point and hasn't moved since.
Last night, while all this was going on, we called Amazon. The guy told him that he'd call him back within 30 mins and to use that time to charge the Kindle (which was already charged, my H told them, but the guy said it was protocol and insisted). Finally he called three hours later. We were asleep and it woke us up and so they never spoke, but he's going to call them back again tonight.
This is strange to me as I've always heard that Amazon's customer service is so great. Between not helping him through the issue at the time of the call (insisting on a call back) and then calling back so late (it was 11pm for us - who on earth calls someone that late on a worknight?), I'm very disappointed.
Anyway, has anyone had similar problems with their Kindle 2 and can you make any suggestions or recommendations? The "hold it for 20/40/60 seconds" option isn't doing it's thing.
