ON vs Gap Jeans

G's Gap jeans fit perfect. Alot of the jeans I try for her have too long of a rise so the crotch sags.

I'm asking for another pair for her for Christmas. I know the Gap ones are kind of expensive, so I was thinking about asking for either Gap or ON. Just wondering if the fit is similiar or not? (in toddler sizes)

Re: ON vs Gap Jeans

  • I think they are similiar- ON might be a tad bit roomier but still about the same as Gap. I love ON jeans for R.

  • I'm the opposite of MrsWallace.. I don't care for Old Navy's clothes.. they run really small I think! Aubrey can still fit in a lot of 12 month stuff but the 2T stuff at ON is too small on her..

  • we have a pair of ON jeans for El in 24mth, and I DO NOT like them, they're snug and just don't seem comfortable on her chubby belly.
  • I dont' buy from ON very often, but in terms of size (for everyone) I'd say they are really inconsistant. Sometimes things run huge, other times small.  Gap seems to always run large in my opinion.  The most important difference to me is the quality of fabric. Gap jeans are significantly softer, which is important to me b/c when I was a kid my stiff jeans drove me crazy. I've bought a couple of cute, cheap jeans at ON for the girls and they were rarely if ever warn b/c they were stiff and uncomfortable.  Most (not all) gap jeans are nice and soft.  Plus, gap has sales all the time, so I never pay more than $10ish for a pair anyway.

  • I think we'll stick with Gap then!

I've learned that buying the more expensive brands is usually better. G has one pair of Gap jeans she wears all.the.time. However I have 3 pairs of other jeans that I got at garage sales/on sale that she hardly wears. Sometimes paying more is better! Plus, they will definitly be kept for future kids, while the cheaper ones I always sell.
