Good idea
It already is, at least here. I've been trying to get mine done, but the crowds this past weekend were ridiculous.
Thank goodness I'm almost done. I think I'm going to try to finish up my shopping online.
Good morning!
We made the mistake of going to Rivertown Mall on Saturday afternoon last weekend. I could not get out of their fast enough.
Instead of which alternative?

Morning all..sorry I have been MIA lately. Work is petty busy now...with all the big events I've had lately, I've let my daily job duties slide and it has caught up to me, so I probably should stay away from day time nesting on work days (today is my day off).
I went to Toys R Us on the Sunday before Halloween to see if they had clearance costumes. It was the same day their toy catalog came out. They only had 2 lines open and there were about 15 people in each line. It was crazy!
I'm done shopping for the kids and hubby, minus a gift I need to replace. I thought I had ordered him a CD but instead it came in as a music book - whoops. I still have to get the nieces and nephews.
I asked my parents what they want and my mom said she is saving money for the a tablet and my dad would like to get gift card to go out to eat.
Ok...why are we even bothering exchanging gifts then. Really,..save your money and buy your tablet and go to Wendy's for lunch afterwards.
Going to Rivertown?
Charity -
Yes, Rivertown has a Barnes & Noble.
Consumer Reports had a good article about e-readers in this month's issue. I didn't read it very closely though because I'm still stubbornly opposed to them on principle (ha!).
Yes, I would go to Woodland instead of Rivertown, if all things are equal.
Good Morning Friends.
Yay!! for BFF's coming to town.
I ordered my turkey this morning from Sobie Meats. I'll be able to pick it up the day before Thanksgiving.
I thought about getting DH Peter Gabriel's new CD that came out recently for his bday. Christmas he usually doesn't want anything so He usually gets something that is a need rather than a want.
We get to go to conferences tonight for SS. I have a feeling it is going to be a long night.
May I whine for a moment?
Thanksgiving is usually my favorite holiday. My family usually does a big dinner with extended family and it's very fun and festive. This year, my grandpa's gone and most of my aunts/uncles/cousins have other plans. So, it will just be my immediate family and one aunt. Oh, and apparently my brother is bringing home his new girlfriend (which is fine). And then on B's side, his sister is going on vacation, so that dinner will be less interesting too.
I'm so bummed about Thanksgiving this year. We should have planned to stay home. But, we're going up north. I think it will be depressing.
I used to like Thanksgiving and Christmas more when I was younger. Now that my Grandparents are gone we rarely see extended family. Dh HATES the hassle of running around to 3 holidays on one day and his family isn't that interested in getting together on a different day to celebrate. So we usually just get together with my parents. I miss the bigger celebrations because it was more of a family atmosphere. When we go to DH's Mom's side it is still pretty segregated and his Dad's side is pretty much doesn't exist. So my holiday's are just 5 people.
Yeah... I kind of feel like we're clinging to old traditions that aren't really there anymore. We need to start making our own traditions. We've done this a bit with other holidays, but not Thanksgiving yet. Overall, it's hard because it's just the two of us here. Or at least that's my excuse.
(I think the weather is making me extra gloomy today. Sorry, I'll try to snap out of it.)
Are there problems going on?
I totally agree with you.
It's supposed to snow tomorrow. Which means it will be even suckier tomorrow.
SS always has had problems in school. He is struggling more this year b/c this school has higher standards and he isn't use to having to actually work at school. The last few years at GRPS he could fail a class and still move on to the next grade. This year it is more school work and more effort that has to be put forth. So he is struggling big time. I've been in contact with his teachers and school counselor. They have an idea of how behind he is but trying to find a way to schedule extra time is harder. They offer after school but we would have to arrange to pick him up from school then. School is in Coopersville and we have only 1 car. It doesn't help that SS isn't' motivated to do better.
Target has the worst website in the history of the internet.
I wonder if they have noticed a huge decline in their ecommerce since the new website was launched.
I have to agree.
I agree. I hate the new layout and everything about it.
It's in the 50s here. And this weather is perfect studying weather! I just want to hole up in the law library with coffee and a stack of casebooks...
I think you are fair in complaining about that. I used to complain incessantly about L playing WoW. I can't believed that you got flamed for that.
I know. And I wasn't even complaining, that's the thing.
