It seems that my friends have become more like acquaintances lately.  I know they are busy and I am too but it's not fun when you try to communicate and get no response and then find out that your friends are getting together and didn't ask you to join.  I don't have much in common anymore and it sucks - I feel like I'm being left in the dust sometimes.

Dar - I hear you.  And just because people are diff or are in diff places in life, it shouldn't mean a friendship can't work - so it is sad to see relationships become 1-sided like you're saying.  I hate nagging people to gtg.. at which point if it isn't the first time, I need to just let the relationship go.  Then when I do something nice or make the effort and have to keep nagging to gtg again, I feel taken advtange of, which is worse than having let things go in the first place.  Can't tell you how many times I've done a really nice favor or special thing for someone and then I never hear from them again.
