One of the wives in our class is trying to win a contest on FB from a company that makes things out of military uniforms. For the past 3 days she's been updating her status every hour asking people to vote for her. I haven't because I really hate the idea of making diaper bags and dresses out of uniforms. Well, now she posted directly on my wall asking me to do it. I still don't want to but I feel like I have to. Especially since she babysat DS last minute for me a few weeks ago and wouldn't let me pay her.

I don't care. I hate "Like"ing pages and refuse to do that unless I happen to really really like something sincerely and take the time to actually seek that out. Otherwise? Nope. And I think it's pretty ballsy on her part to actually take the time to figure out who hasn't voted for her and then be direct like that. But, that's just me.

I thought that too. I'm not forward enough to ever ask people to vote for me to begin with, but to directly put people on that spot like that would never enter my mind.

I know it's easier said than done, but I would just email her explaining why you don't agree with it. Keep it simple and if she gets upset then she may not be that great of a friend in the first place. Good luck..

I had that happen to me a few months ago... The good thing about it was we are not great friends she grew up across the street from my sister and I... so I just did not vote.  If it was someone you were close to, then I would, but if you aren't then I wouldn't especially if you do not agree with it.

Just don't post on FB until after the contest is over. Then you can be like "oh, I'm sorry... I never saw that post!"
