As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. Hi! Am thinking of getting DH a tablet (iPad or perhaps Samsung) for Christmas and wanted to know if you guys had any recs.

I wish I could be more help, but I don't have a tablet. I have gotten to use ipads that my family members have, and they all love theirs. And the screen and navigation was nice on it.
I guess it just depends on how much money you're willing to spend on one. And of course some non-mac users absolutely aren't willing to get an ipad. Would your H be comfortable with that format?
Motorola Xoom = awesome tablet (best quality/price combo out there to date)
Samsung Galaxy = almost as awesome, slightly less expensive tablet (less expensive but less bling for the $$)
