Ink Stains

So my dog chewed up an ink pen, which left stains on our carpet.   Any suggestions on how to get them out?

Thanks,

Re: Ink Stains

  • 90% isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol), WD-40 and hairspray all work.

It usually takes a few applications, but it'll work.

Apply one of the items listed above, blot with a clean towel, vacuum (sucks the loose ink up), blot dry with a new towel. Repeat as necessary until the stain is gone.

DO NOT rub the stain. Blot. Rubbing the stain will make it worse.

  • Definately try the rubbing alcohol and really saturate it (what as worked for me) and I do rub it at little bit...just with my fingers and then let it sit.  Blot.  Pour more on...let it sit, blot etc

Might take awhile, but it should work.
