How do you clean your kitchen tile floor?

I've been using the Eureka Enviro Steamer but my tile has little grooves in it and the steamer isn't doing the trick.  Perhaps if I do a really deep scrub with a brush and some sort of cleaner, I can start back with a clean floor and then the steamer will do it's job.

I have two kids (5 and 4) and a slobbery bulldog.

Any and all suggestions are appreciated:)

  • I use a steam mop once a week and then a scrub it with a brush and vinegar once a month. I too have the little grooves..I hate them.
  • We don't have any tile, but one of the scrubbers our steam mop came with looks like a rug, sort of -- it has long nubs -- and i think it's intended for cleaning tile.

Yes, this is what we use.  We have the Shark Steam Mop and use that cover on the tile floors.
