So remember that sticky we used to have about "Things to do in DFW".  Well apparently stickies unsticky after a month or so.  Then, instead of just filing back under their date... they delete themselves.  So... just fyi, in case you were wondering where that sticky went.

Ok, but I still see the sticky?

  • Tiffany-  the stuff in mine tends to burn as well. I figured it was just my crock pot :-/

I think you have to fix your settings at the bottom of the page.  I have to do that to mine if I want to see the sticky.  I change it to sort "last post date" in "descending order" and filter to "show all."

My settings are set to that already.  I'm not sure what the deal is.  Were you able to still see the sticky, too?  If so, sorry, but I re-sticky'd it.

  • Angie - Thanks for the recipe!  We have a crock pot that I have yet to break out of the box, but hearing about your cooking motivates me to do so.

Yes, now I see two of them LOL.  No biggie...now, hopefully, everyone can see at least one of them! :)

  • Crap, well I guess I need a new crock pot. (Mine IS new, I got it as a wedding gift and I've only used it a half dozen times!) It is a really nice one too, dang it. Angie - The problem is far and away beyond a tough piece sticking out. I'm talking 100% full on burned congealed disaster in the bottom of the pot. I've been alternating scrubbing and soaking since Tuesday and still have not managed to completely get it clean.
  • I love the crockpot.  I cook most things 10 hours as I find they taste best that way--but I have found that even though mine switches to warm when it's done cooking, I really can't let stuff go much past 10 hours or it starts to burn around the edges and dry out.  I should probably just do roasts 10 hours and everything else for 8.  But yeah, nothing should be outright burning for sure.

Also, I have a wedding on Saturday that is vintage themed and haven't bought a dress (I know I know....such a procrastinator!).  I am going to go on my lunch break to Grapevine Mills to try and find something.  Anyone have any ideas on what stores I could look at?  I'm not super familiar with what is at that mall.

Forever 21 in grapevine mills has some cute "vintage-ish" looking stuff!  I find stuff there normally, if I don't have time to buy from modcloth or UA.

I'm in love with our crock pot we got as a wedding gift.  But i swear by the crock pot liners, so if something does get stuck, it's simple and easy to get off ;)

Maybe that's just me being lazy! lol.

I keep saying I need to buy these liners! I have to remember next time I'm at the store. YEAH for laziness!

  • My AW:  yummy salad with pecans and apples, steak, crab cake, mashed potatoes, cream corn, and chocolate mousse.  That was my lunch.  I've been worthless all afternoon.
  • Does anyone know what tubes are?  Think an article of clothing.  I didn't.  We just all got some custom made for our 10 year anniversary up here at work.
  • Like, tube tops?  I have never heard of this before...

It's shoes actually.  Tubes.  They are pretty comfy.

  • Yay, google!  I'm on the same page now.  All I could think of was tube tops or tube dresses (per google's suggestion) and that was just not fitting in with my mental picture of your professional, legal office environment!!!  That is really cool though, that you guys are getting custom shoes!

lol, I was thinking tube tops or tube socks, I didn't know there were tube shoes!

  • When we got the email, one of my CWs suggested it was some sort of IV tube so we'd never have to leave our desk!

Haha!  My boss would be all for that!
