Traveling to LA/San Diego this week - ?
Hello! We are flying out of Omaha, NE tomorrow morning to CA for vacation. Neither one of us have ever been there. We'll be spending one night in LA, and then driving to San Diego and spending five nights.
I see the temps look like they'll be in the 60's. Since we'll be on the coast - is it pretty windy/chilly? Should I be packing a light jacket? Sweatshirts?
Just trying to decide how to pack today. I'm already a heavy packer - just want to make sure I'm packing the right stuff! Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Re: Traveling to LA/San Diego this week - ?
Just so you don't feel like we're ignoring you, this is the Northern CA board. LA and SD are in Southern CA, so we don't really have any information for you.
That said, in most parts of CA, layers are best, since the weather and temperature can change from neighborhood to neighborhood.
Have a nice trip.
hi there. we're actually about 350 miles north of LA.
there's a high of 75 expected today (in LA) and 71 tomorrow. looks like showers on saturday and clear sunday.
other than saturday being a little rainy, it looks like a lovely weekend
enjoy your vacation!
If you're used to Omaha, SD will feel pretty warm. There are always the crazies from those polar states on the beach in bathing suits and even in the WATER in February while I'm in a big down coat with a fur lined snorkel hood.
I'd pack a jacket and a sweatshirt or just plan that you'll buy a sweatshirt once you're there if you need it.
Layers are the name of the game. Weather will be quite different at the beach than a mile inland. It will get cold at night but warm up a lot during the day.
And, just to make sure, you're asking about San Diego but posting on the Northern California board. San Diego is about 8 hours south (but I'm from San Diego so I answered based on that)
Ha, oh boy. See...I really DON'T have any idea, do I? I clicked on San Diego on the Nest, and it took me to this board.
Even though I'm on the wrong board, I really appreciate your input. Thanks so much, ladies!
