Calling all Animal Lovers <3

A kitten is in need of some generous hearts!!! The kitten's name is "Blue," and here is the Kitten's story:

Here is the facebook page for more information!!!!

"So here's the story....a few months ago my Dad was at his mailbox and he saw a momma cat carrying a kitten crossing the road. A car came speeding up over the hill, and the mother cat was hit by the car and killed instantly. The kitten, however, was ALIVE!

My Dad took the kitten inside and kept it warm until my Mom got home from work, and they began feeding milk replacer with a bottle and just co...
mpletely caring for this kitten, which they named Baby Blue. He was 1 day old when they found him.

The time came to start feeding Blue solid food, and that's when the problems began. Every time he tried he started choking, and almost died several times. A few visits to Jarrettsville Veterinary Center uncovered the problem.

Blue was born with a heart defect, in which his aorta is wrapped around his esophagus. He was too little for the surgery when this was first discovered, so my folks just continued with milk replacer and a bigger hole in the bottle tip :)

Blue is several months old now, and very healthy except that he can't eat anything solid, and if he accidently does, he could die. Unfortunately the surgery would cost my parents over $2,500, which they could never afford with my Dad being laid off for the past 2 years.

So in order to give Blue a chance, my Mom has signed over her legal rights to Blue, and he is now in the care of Jarrettsville Center. This way the vet can work with the surgeon, for a much more realistic amount of money. But we still need over $1,300.

To top it all off, my 5 yr old daughter is completely in love with Blue and has been involved with his care from the beginning, holding the bottle, cleaning him, and of course playing! She has been carrying a plastic jar everywhere she goes with Blue's picture & story on it. She even asked her preschool teacher if she could put a jar in the lobby!

So, if your an animal lover, or this story has touched your heart at all.....please help by donating to Blue's Surgery Fund. You can mail drop off change or anything at all right to the vet's office if you're in the area, or mail to the following address:
