Help! Relocating to N. Miami Beach

Hello! My husband and I are relocating to N. Miami Beach from Indiana. We are looking at purchasing a house in a nice area of town for around $200,000 +/-

We don't have children yet, but we are looking for a fun, SAFE, nice area to live.
Suggestions??? :)

Re: Help! Relocating to N. Miami Beach

  • I am moving to Miami this year also.  I don't have any good advice but wanted to say hello.  This board is pretty slow from what I have seen.  Hoping that it will become more active in the coming months.  Good Luck with your home search!!

  • We used to have an extremely active board but a lot has happened in the last year or so!

I'm not familiar with where to live in Miami as I'm a little bit more north in the Coral Springs area, however will try to help as much as possible.  Are you looking for a Single Family or would you also be open to a Townhouse/Condo?

  • Hopefully a few of us can get the board going again Smile!  DH and I are going to rent when we move.  Either a condo or SFH.

  • Thank you for the response!! I apologize for the delay. I kept checking back and saw it was kind of slow so I haven't been on in a while! I'll check back more often.

DH and I have decided to rent for 3-6 months to find the areas that we like and then buy. I appreciate the help, ladies!

JoaPata, where are you living now?

  • That's alright!  It makes sense that you want to rent first to test out the area.  Most places down here that are corporate rental communities only have 7-12 month leases and even then they don't usually give out the 7 month ones.  I'll look to see what areas I can recommend (from other friends and whatnot) and see if I can help you find some privately owned properties that may be ok with the shorter lease.
