Also, Happy Rememberance Day or Veterans Day, whichever you call it where you are.
I was out far too late and up on my feet far too much yesterday. It was our company's biannual pool/euchre tournament and it was a lot of fun, even if my team came in dead last.
Derek picked up his new glasses yesterday and he's amazed by the difference. He'd had the same pair the entire time I've known him and they were scratched far beyond prudent use. He said he's a much better Call of Duty player now, as he can actually see the screen, and couldn't believe how scruffy he looked. Ha!
This weekend we should be home and working on projects. I'm hoping to get out to Sephora to take advantage of a VIB sale, and just knock some things off the to-do list that's a mile long.
What does everyone else have on the go this weekend?
Re: Happy Friday!
LOL Derek and the new glasses, cute.
Today we're taking advantage of V's day off and going to Niagara Falls! V asked if I thought Darian would like Niagara and I said, well he loves the sound of water running from the tap so he'll probably LOVE the falls
Not sure about weekend plans yet but I think we'll be meeting up with out friend / Darian's godmom on Sunday.

Yay for Friday. Seriously, I did not think it would ever get here.
Lastnight we went and toured our potentail daycare for the boys, and it is a go. The boys will be starting there as soon as we are back from Disney.
Tonight DH and I are going out with friends for pizza, beer and pool. I can't wait for some adult time. Then I am hoping to crash and sleep in a little tomorrow.
My weekend will be running around trying to get last minute things for our trip, and snow pants/boots for the boys.
Have a great day everyone!
Happy Friday! My brother is throwing an 11/11/11 party tonight so I hope to stop by that for a little bit. Tomorrow I don't think that I have anything planned so I'm hoping to watch some football and get some housework and laundry done.
Sunday I'm driving to Dayton with a co-worker. We have a training class next Monday - Wednesday. It will be nice to be out of the office for a few days. I'm a little disappointed that we're going to Dayton though. The same class is being offered at the same time in Chicago. It would be a shorter drive and I just enjoy Chicago. Oh well. My co-worker for some reason really wanted to go to Dayton so I didn't want to object.
My day has not started off well either, but at least it is Friday. Every little thing seems to be going wrong, and I know this is stupid, but I seem to have worn a pair of shoes home that I usually leave in the office. So now, I look silly wearing too long pants with flats. Oh well. At least it's Friday.
The weekend should be pretty good. I have a few things to catch up on around the house, but aside from that, it should be pretty relaxing.
ABarber, you should have come to Chicago! Dayton is way further and way less fun. What was your coworker thinking?
Seriously! Lol!
Good morning, ladies.
I scheduled our dog's knee surgery for right after TGiving. Poor puppy had one knee reconstructed in January, and now needs the other one done. I'm going to ask for a 'frequent shopper' discount - I really cannot afford another surgery so soon, but she can't go with a torn ACL for very long without fixing it. 8-(
Other than that, we're picking FIL up at the airport tomorrow. More ridiculous drama there - DH has a very strange, dysfunctional family. I often don't know what to do or say regarding all the crap that goes on with them. At least I have finally realized that THEY are the ones who are messed up (not me) - I cannot fix anything. It was a big step to accept that it isn't my fault, nor my problem - I was beating myself up over all of their actions and attitudes, and it's not right.
Have a great weekend, everyone!
LesPaul- Sorry to hear your ILs are a bit difficult to deal with.
Good morning!
I'm so happy it is finally Friday. This week has been just crazy with all the work and school related stuff. Tonight I'm meeting with a good friend to catch up and celebrate my upcoming birthday.
The rest of the weekend I hope to take it easy and celebrate my birthday with my family and maybe have BBQ on Sunday.
I know! She's from a small town in Indiana and I think she might be intimidated by the city. But the restaurants and shopping in Chicago are so much better and I could have met up with Neptoon for a drink. Oh well, hopefully next time I get to choose the city.
Happy Friday! I'm going shopping with a co-worker today for decorations for our office Christmas party. I love shopping for parties on someone else's dime! After that I'm going to J's shop to pick out some granite for our fireplace surround. I'd really like to have it installed before the holidays.
Saturday we have to go to my sister's boyfriend's son's birthday party. I can't stand my sister's boyfriend's kids, they are the biggest brats I've ever met. I wouldn't try to find some excuse not to go but my sister asked me to make the cake and I agreed, so I guess I have to go...
Sunday we have a birthday party for J's one year old cousin. We're hoping to just stop by make and appearance and then head out to go shopping for a new bed!
I forgot today was a holiday, once I realized it and that the bus schedule was changed, I had to drive in since I had an early morning meeting I was going to miss. Then it still didn't register with me so I went and parked in the parking garage when there is free street parking today.
Oh well. The wait for the job continues. My inside source says they're torn between two people but planned to make a decision today. DH is either taking me out to celebrate or taking me out to drown my sorrows.
Happy Friday ladies! Sadly I have to work today but at least traffic was light. Last night was pretty low key. I went to the gym for a quick workout. I was in a hurry to get home to help put Olivia to sleep but by the time I got back DH had already fed her and she was asleep in her crib. I think it was the first time I wasn't there for her bedtime. I was a little sad about it, but I really need to take care of myself and get healthy so I can be there for her in the long run.
Tonight my friends are coming over for pizza and wine. We have lots of catching up to do and I'm always happy to see them so it will be nice to unwind with them after the week.
We don't have any plans this weekend but I think we're going to get started on our Christmas shopping. If we can pick up a few gifts every week we won't have to charge anything and avoid the last minute rush. Have a great weekend ladies!
Now jumping domestically.
Well that was a crazy couple of years.
We had a total snuggle day, since I stayed home for the holiday. It's a floater at my work, but daycare was closed. Easy decision there. I have to work Sunday, so tomorrow will be running some errands and picking up odds and ends that are hard to do during the week.
The bub went to bed at 515 tonight, so it'll either be a complete disaster for sleeping tonight or he'll just be up at an odd hour before his usual wake up. Oh well. DH always misses bedtime and kicks himself for it. Not much we can do. At least the little one is too young still to really understand what's going on.
Happy weekend ladies! I can't believe it's almost time for turkey day (in the states). The holidays totally crept up on me this year.
TGIF! Good evening.
I woke up early to run outside but it was pretty chilly so I had to hit the treadmill at the gym. I find I run so much better in the morning since my bladder hasn't had a chance to fill so it's not too painful.
This weekend we have a lot going on. Tonight it sounds like some friends might be coming over so I'm trying to do some last minute straigtening. Tomorrow we are going to go to my grandparents house and tell them our news. I've decided to tell the rest of our families but lock down my facebook page since I have some co-workers on there.
Sunday I have a race. 5km Jingle Bell Run. It will be an automatic pregnant PR at that distance, lol.
I think we're going to buy some bookshelves this weekend so hopefully we can get those made and have some of our books finally unpacked.
Hey! We got the day off today (we don't usually get Veteran's Day) and I had a ton of stuff I wanted to do. I have not done much of it at all. I slept later than I wanted to, went to the gym with DH, took him to work. Then I got lunch, went to two grocery stores and then got home at 4:45, chatted with my sister and then got on here for the first time today.
I wanted to get a bunch of the food prepped for Sunday and some of the cleaning done, but it's all not going to happen. I need to make dinner earlier than usual, so I can go back and pick up Jim at 9:00.
