I saw your post in the weekend plans thread. Are you not sure how telling your parents about the baby will go or the trip to Penn State? I hope you aren't worried about the reaction to the little lion!

unfortunately..it is about the little lion.  My parents...mainly my mother, but my dad because she semi-controls what he thinks... haven't been supportive of...well..anything I do when it initally happens.  And they've made comments in the last year or so that there is absolutely "no hurry" for kids and they are too young to be grandparents.  *sigh*   I hope I'm just not giving them enough credit...or at least my mother...can put on a good face for me and can then complain later when I don't need to hear about it.   When my friends got pregnant, she was so worried I was "catch the baby fever."

I'm sure your parents will be happy for you guys-even if they don't show it right away. I don't know a single grandparent that doesn't melt when you mention their grandchild. Let us know how it goes-I'll be thinking of you. xoxo

Awww I'm so sorry you feel that way. You should be overjoyed and excited to be able to tell your parents. I hope they support you and don't give you any grief. It isn't about them and being too young to be grandparents, it is about you and Ian wanting to start a family (rightfully so!). Good luck. Let us know how it goes! (hugs)

Oh no I really hope they support you! F's mom kept saying how much she didn't want to be a grandmother (okay, she still says that), but now that she realizes she's going to be a grandmother x3 in the space of 5 months, she's coming around. I hope your parents just realize what a truly exciting time this is, if not for them, then for you! Hugs!
