Who does digital scrapbooking?
I have been a long time traditional scrapbooker but was looking at Etsy today and was finding some really great digital paper. What programs do you use for digit scrapbooks? How do you get started, and if I were to buy online paper etc, do you just upload that? I am not sure where to start doing research on it to see if it would be something I am interesting in switching to. TIA!

Re: Who does digital scrapbooking?
CRAFTY ME
my read shelf:
I haven't managed to do any digital scrapbooking, and i don't do any traditional scrapbooking.... however I was thinking of doing digital, especially now we have a little one and have a lot of photos!! Ive signed up to emails from scrapgirls.com and www.twopeasinabucket.com that both have digital scrapbooking resources. Scrapgirls has a few programs they use/ recommend too.
We have phtotoshop and illustrator though so that is what Id be using....
Digital scrapbooking is my hobby! I started with My Memories software a few years back and it has some good features. The main thing I disliked about the program was that the output quality (if you want to print it) was not great. I only figured that out down the road.
From there I moved on to Photoshop Elements which is totally affordable (can usually find for around $79) and you can do way more than just scrapbook - photo editing and other projects so it's worth the money right there.
I upgraded to Photoshop almost a year ago because I now design my own scrapbooking kits and well, like I said, this is my hobby and I love it.
You can find some really quality freebies online to give you a preview but there is also a lot of really not so great stuff out there. Once you start looking, you will know what I mean.
I took some classes online to learn more about PSE and digi scrap and it was a lot of fun. www.reneepearson.com and www.jessicasprague.com have some really, really great classes. Included in the fee you get lots of digital goodies to get started, instruction, and you will make pages right there so it's a good start. Jessica Sprague has an intro video for free I think.
Here are some sites that you can find more good stuff at:
www.designhousedigital.com
www.penscrappers.com (fee kits on the Penscrappers linked bios)
I have more links on my blog(link below) if you are interested in checking the out. Good luck! It's a super fun hobby and if you have any more questions you can PM or send me an email which is listed on my blog.
