Great Weekend

I had a really great weekend and for no other reason than DH and I found a good Mexican place in Brisbane.  We have missed Mexican food with a passion.  Earlier this year when I had to go to Sydney to get Cole's passport I met AmericaninOz afterwards and we ate at this same chain.  At the time they didn't have a location in Brisbane and now they do.  We ate ourselves stupid and drank margaritas.  I seriously could have cried.  We went on Saturday and debated going again today.  We decided not to but I'm sure we will return next weekend.

XMAS came early at my home. We ordered some TV series and books from Amazon UK and we picked up our package on Friday.

I watched The Christmas Story with DH on Friday...it always makes me laugh. I know it?s a little early, but heck, I might not get around to it again at the rate things are going around here.

We had a good friends legal wedding Friday night and DD's baptism on Sat. My Aunts are here and DD's Godmother flew over too. So this weekend has been full of friends and family.

My husband ordered some box that goes into the tv and now we can get LoveFilm online (so we can download videos and see them on tv versus on the computer).  I'm so happy!!!

The German Christmas market started here on Friday so we went yesterday and did some shopping and eating.  It's so much fun.

DH is in town and we're still acting like tourists so Saturday we spent the day in Windsor and today we wandered around Covent garden most of the day. The 192 stairs at Covent garden tube stop also mean I don't have to workout any time soon lol.

The positive of living so close to my family now is that I can actually see them. Thursday I took the Amtrack halfway up and spent the weekend with them (DH came up after work on Friday.)

My mom had a big 11/11/11 party for her birthday. It was a total blast! After the party her friends headed out to their old bar haunt! The barman dresses up as Elvis and Johnny Cash when someone plays Viva Las Vegas and Ring of Fire on the jukebox.  My mom got behind the bar with him twice to sing with him! haha!

I went shopping today and got black jeans that fit perfectly and an adorable dress that I am going to accessorise to work for both my work xmas party and my friend's wedding in april. It was on sale and a size smaller than I normally wear which made me disproportionately happy :-)

DH is travelling for work this weekend, so it's been a girl-y weekend for me. Had a friend over for dinner yesterday (tacos yum yum) and watched some old-school films (Cutting Edge and Father of the Bride I). Today, I met a friend for tea and then wandering around Holland Park taking pictures.

It's been unseasonably warm weather. Usually by this point in November, I am useless at anything but sleeping and blubbering because of the gray...

Im so happy. DH's friend told him about it and I immediately started googling the address. We talked about it again this morning and we are pretty sure we're going back this weekend. We are so sad!

ooolala, We love it, but we don't have anything to compare it to.  The food and beer is great and we always find things to buy.
