Do you have a structured routine or schedule? Would you mind sharing it?
H goes back to work next week and I KNOW Jack needs something. I know it's only been a week of having another kiddo here, but I feel like our days are just a mess of doing a whole lot of nothin' and I'm seeing it come out in Jack.
Anyway, anything you've got would be very helpful! Any plans, ideas, blogs, etc. are much appreciated!
Re: SAHMs
K was 2-3 when I stayed home. I put her in preschool 2 mornings a week so she could have alone time with friends. It was nice for me to have 1 on 1 w/ new baby.
We also did a lot of toddler time at the libraries.
It is hard to have a schedule w/ a new baby. They sleep a lot and eat a lot. Looking back, K watched more TV than she should have and took the back burner. It was hard for me to get out of the house b/c once I would get both of them ready the baby would either need to eat or sleep.
Check out Play at Home Mom on Facebook. I use ideas from there sometimes for ideas for games or crafts.
As for a routine, we typically have breakfast and play from about 8-9, go somewhere from 9-11ish (run errands, have a play date, go to the library, or one of the weekly activities I have us doing depending on the day/week), come home to eat lunch, naptime, get up and play outside (weather allowing), then DH gets home. I only have one kiddo, but that's about how most of our days go.
-7-8:30ish: Breakfast, clean up around the first floor, play time
-8:30-9:30/10ish: A goes down for his "siesta"-quiet time in his crib with a book or two, occasionally he naps-I get to shower, do e-mail, etc...
-10-12: errands or play dates if we are going out, if we are staying in we typically do a lot of reading, a craft (finger painting, chalk, crayons, etc..) and playtime
-12-2 or 3: lunch and nap time
After naps we typically go for a walk, rake leaves, play with the dogs-something outside and active, or if it's raining, we will do some chores around the house-A loves to "help" with the dishes, laundry, etc...
Here is my daily routine....I have it posted so that grandparents/sisters know routine! So some of it may be way more info then you need but easier to copy and paste...
