I just broke one of my favourite necklaces

My mom bought me a jewellery organizer today, and I was putting all my junk in it over the kitchen table, and I somehow caught the necklace on the top of one of the chairs and snapped it in half.  Beads went everywhere.  It is not the kind of thing I can rebead and fix, so I had to toss it in the garbage.  Rawr.

  • Are you sure it can't be fixed?  I had a cord snap right in the middle of a necklace once and my friend who beads fixed it right up for me with a new cord.

Well I was trying to pick it up to see where it had snapped, and beads were just raining everywhere.  They're the really really tiny ones, and the amount of effort it would take to try and fix it just woudn't be worth it.

It wasn't expensive, but it was nostalgic, because my aunt gave it to me and she has since died of breast cancer.

    Wah wahhhh.

  • :(  I broke a necklace when I was in high school that had sentimental value to me, and even though I'd never wear it these days, I still feel sad about breaking it.
  • :(

I bet Flexie would fix it for you.

  • :-(

Maybe if you can save some of the beads you could thread them onto hoop earrings, if you wanted to keep them for sentimental value. You can get the hoops at a craft store so it would be really easy.

I am sorry to hear about your necklace, but you can always get another one for yourself. You can check for the amber sceats necklaces that are designed with unique designs and are quite simple and elegant.
Maybe you should stop trying to sell jewelry by replying to 2-3 year old posts.
