Hi & Intro

Hi Ladies!

I've actually lurked on this board for a really long time, but I figured it was time to introduce myself. I used to come here when I was trying to make my decision & I'd read about everyone else's experiences. I will say, seeing the varying reasons for the end of marriages helped me put mine into perspective & it definitely made me feel better about leaving the life of purgatory I'd been living.

I'm 27 & in the middle of a divorce that was my decision. We split at the beginning of October after months & months of counseling & trying to "make it work". DH & I moved very quickly in our relationship & probably never should've gotten married. I was totally one of those "bebe" brides that wanted her princess day, but I really did think I was going to spend the rest of my life with him. STBXH has a lot of mental issues that he's trying to work through & ultimately those issues helped lead to the demise of our relationship (not that I don't have my own faults as well). We were married for 2.5 years & about a year of that was utter misery. Thankfully, we don't have any children, so this process has been fairly uncomplicated.

As for me, I like to run, shop, drink wine, cook & I love college football (Go Noles!). I love my dog, a mini dachshund who is ridiculously spoiled & I haven't really started dating yet... Just a fun little boy toy on the side.

& that's all I got for now Smile
