When do you start decorating for Christmas or Hanukkah? Do you have any decorating traditions or a tree trimming party?

Re: Holiday Decorations
I've put the tree up the day after Thanksgiving almost every year DH and I have been together. My only tradition is I have to have egg nog to drink while decorating.
I bought some new ornaments at Michael's last year and half broke before Christmas. I might try to find some nicer ornaments this year.
I usually start harrassing DH to help me get down the bins on the day after Tgiving, and it usually happens Saturday or Sunday, and then I decorate bits and pieces over the next week or so.
Not sure if you have any plans for a Foley or Destin run before Christmas, but Old Time Pottery has good deals on ornaments. (Hobby Lobby does too for local option.)
I'm pretty sure my cats played a part in the destruction. Not that they would ever own up to it.
I will have DH get out all of my Christmas boxes/bins from the attic the Sunday after Thanksgiving, once he gets back from hunting. I guess we will get a tree the 1st part of December.
The only tradition we have is to play Christmas CDs while decorating the tree. I have a Frank Sinatra one that I love to listen to.
We'll probably just dust off the Menorah for Hannukah again this year. It's been sitting on the shelf above our TV since last Hannukah. DD will probably also do some Hannukah crafts at school so we'll put those up as she brings them home.
How is it that my BABY is going to be 3?
