My Husband and I have only been married for a little over a month. I have no idea what to get him for christmas this year. We both buy what we want if we really want so we have everything. We also just got married on 10/8/11. The gifts we purchased for our wedding gift were hard enough to come up with. Does anyway have any suggestions for what to by your husband for your first "married" x-mas together?
Re: First christmas married.
I would just go simple - maybe movies and music? Any concerts or plays coming up in your area that he would want to see? How about a special Christmas dinner if you two are celebrating alone?
What about a photobook of your honeymoon pictures? I think I got him scotch, scotch glasses, and scotch rocks. He didn't know he needed or wanted them. Since then he's developed quite the scotch and flask collection.

Have you guys gotten each other Christmas gifts before this year? I don't see why a "married" Christmas is different than any other....but maybe thats just me. For our first Christmas together, DH got me my engagement ring and a sleep shirt that I really wanted and I got him a palm pilot and some extra equipment for his camera.
The next year, we were completely broke so I made him chocolate chip cookies and wrote him a letter telling him how special he is and all of the things I love about him. I do this every year now, no matter what else I get him. He really enjoys getting his plate of cookies and his letter!
Chocolate chip cookies and a letter is like, the best Christmas tradition ever. I've got to do that. Thanks.
This will carry through your whole marriage. What I do is make note of things throughout the year he comments on, and if he hasnt gotten it, thats what he's getting. It will save a lot of headache in the future.
That's cute
We got married on 10/8 too!!!
I am making a glass ornament saying something like "our first Christmas as the S****s 2011" and will probably get him some meat rubs for smoking. He loves making ribs, brisket, etc. We are just excited to be married!
The best past gifts I've gotten him:
Last year I got a remote starter put on his car - it was about $140 at Best Buy - HUGE hit with him - uses it daily.
I think for our anniversary one year I got him a "BBQ sauce of the month club" only did it quarterly so it was more like a "BBQ sauce of the season" lol. He wasn't all that excited when I gave him the certificate saying what he got, but that immediately changed after he got his first shipment. Everytime we came home and there was a white box on the steps he practically ran to it to see what kinds he got
If he's anything like my DH, I think he would love to just get you in some lingerie and he'd be happy!
