How long do you feel comfortable having out-of-town guests? Does it matter who it is (friends, Mom, Dad, Uncle Joe, etc.)? Do you think life status (single, young married couple with no kids, married with kids) affects that for you? Have you ever had to set a "limit" either before or during a visit?
TIA!
Re: Out-of-Town Guests
How long do you feel comfortable having out-of-town guests? In general, 2-3 days over the weekend.
Does it matter who it is (friends, Mom, Dad, Uncle Joe, etc.)? Absolutely. I'd be more comfortable with my best friend than a friend I'm not as close to, I'm more comfortable with my parents than my ILs, etc.
Do you think life status (single, young married couple with no kids, married with kids) affects that for you? Not really. I don't know about kids, but I feel the same about having out-of-town guests now (married w/o kids) as I did when I was single.
Have you ever had to set a "limit" either before or during a visit? No. I'm lucky enough to have never had a houseguest that wanted to stay longer than I was comfortable with.
