How crazy are you?

Will you go out for Black Friday shopping?  If so how crazy early will you go?  Any particular items you are hoping to snag?

ugh... my SIL wanted one of us to go to Kohls to get the holiday barbie....I was like um, no thanks. I am actually sending DH with the boys over to the in-laws so I can clean and put up the christmas decorations without them here...so I can have one pristine picture before Monk the human tornado comes through and mucks up the joint.

  • I do a little. My husband likes to do it too, so it's kind of fun. I may be working early though haven't seen the schedule yet. I want a new computer and Walmart has an HP at a decent price so we will see. No kids for the weekend so a perfect excuse to shop!

My sister is hard core she starts w/ lining up at midnight and is still going into the evening hours. I know she usually has to make a stop back home to drop off her purchases. She loves it.

  • I work at wal mart and will be there all night long so when I get off at 5:30 am I'll try to see if I can grab a few things. I mainly just want to see if they'll have a good price on the Winnie the Pooh movie.

  • A small group of us go shopping early on Friday, we usually leave around 5:30 or 6 am. The stores opening any earlier or opening the night before isn't going to change that.  We usually just go for the fun of it, not usually trying to score a particular deal.  It is just a fun time for the girls of the family.

  • I don't do Black Friday shopping.  I just don't see the point in the insanity just to possibly save a few bucks.  I really feel for DH.  We saw an commercial tonight for Target and the fact that the madness starts at midnight.  He starts his shift at 11 and this is definitely a part of being back on the road that he does not like.

  • I have a list and gererally just go out if I wake up early enough. This year is a bit different, all stores open at different times and sales are starting earlier, while some others not till 5AM so its like what they heck are you to do, I sure as heck am not going out at midnight till 5AM!   I don't have anything that I have to get, I just like deals if I can get them and if not then no biggie.  And we are in no need of anything electonic which are generally the big ticket items.

  • Chase and I have gone in the past, more to people watch than to get good deals. I think it really sucks for the employees how early stores are starting to open. People that work in customer service are going to have to start celebrating Thanksgiving on Wednesday so they can rest before they have to work with the rate some places are going. Walmart here is opening at 10pm this year, I think that's really crappy if you have to work it.
