Nashville Nesties! Help please!
I just booked our tickets for me and DS to go to Nashville for a week in January to visit my dad. I've been there several times, but not since DS was born. And I know Dad isn't up on the chidlren's scene. What can you recommend for us to do with a 2 year old over the course of a week? Inside or outside, depending on the weather.
THANKS, Ladies!
Re: Nashville Nesties! Help please!
the zoo is open all year.
opry mills mall has a few kid friendly attractions like the stingray bay where you can touch the sting rays, the aquarium restaurant, etc.
the adventure science center is neat, not sure if a 2 year old would get a ton out of it.
not sure what else ...

The Opryland Hotel may still be decorated for the holidays, depending on when in January it is. They have the gardens and then usually some kind of display; I think the past few years it's been ice sculptures (including a slide).
You can probably catch a showing of the Radio City Music City Spectacular. See the Rockettes all the way from New York!
The Nashville Public Library in downtown has multiple "story hours" on Tuesday and Wednesday that involve a puppet show. I've heard it is really good. Check out their web site for the times.
There's a new indoor playground that is supposed to be phenomenal called the Monkey's Treehouse. I'm not exactly sure where it is, but I know they have a web site.
There are several My Gym locations that would probably be great, also. They have things like swings and other play ground equipment. There are people who supervise, and parents can sit in a seperate area and just watch if they like (and need a minute to relax).
Opry Mills has several things that might work. First, they have an indoor putt-putt course. Those seem to come and go though...so you might want to confirm before you head over. There's also the Imax theater in Opry Mills. They normally show at least one kid-friendly movie. It's not cheap though...
The Nashville Children's Theater will probably have something being played then, too. They should have a web site.
Finally, you could just head to indoor pool.
Hope this helps. Most of these places have web sites, so you can just Google them. Have a fabulous trip!
