I guess pay for teachers is worse than I thought
Summary: A high school math teacher is resigning after accepting money from students in exchange for good quiz grades. Students staple the money to the quiz.
I have never been one who thinks parents should reward kids with money for good grades. It isn't my style, but I am not super judgy towards parents who do this. I can't get behind bribing your math teacher for grades for some reason.

We had a teacher in the district H used to teach in who was prostituting herself on Craigslist and leaving school during the day to meet "clients." H and all his teacher friends joked that it was because teacher pay was so little.

I'm not condoning buying of grades, I'm just saying, that at least they realized that getting good grades is important to their future. Teenagers in general can be short-sighted about things. I'm just impressed they were looking ahead.
