Is anyone going out for "gray Thursday" (what I am calling it) or "black Friday"? Who all do you get gifts for during Christmas?

We don't have plans to do any shopping on Thursday or Friday but if there's a good deal for something we want, maybe. I prefer Cyber Monday. 

 DH & I buy gifts for - his mom, his sister, his grandparents. my mom & stepdad, and my brother. Lucky (IMO) for me, my side of the family does smaller gifts. I don't usually exchange with my dad's side. DH's side has a much more elaborate gift exchange. Most of the budget goes to them.

I'll be working from 7am to 6:30pm on that Friday ... so no.

I'm not going this year.  I usually do go though with my mom and some of her friends.  I go more for socializing.  I usually have most of my shopping done by then, and will just pick things up if I see a good deal.  It's not usually too bad here, though, unless you head out to a specific store for a specific thing and wait in line, etc.  DH and I went Black Friday shopping in Orlando one year.  That was crazy.

I haven't gone in years but DH wants to try and go to Best Buy Thanksgiving night for the doorbusters since it's not far from where we're having dinner.

For gifts...ugh. My parents and sisters (and their SOs). DH's grandparents and siblings (and their SOs). Also our niece and my best friend's 2 kids.

I am a firm believer that no deal is worth me subjecting myself to that shopping chaos. I just can't do it. I had an anxiety attack at the stores on Verterans day. Screw Black Friday.

Black Friday is my version of hell.

I'll be working all day Friday, so no shopping for me. Usually we go to someplace like Target around 11am or so, and it's not nearly as crowded.
