Re: Snowy Thursday Randoms

  • ABC News is reporting that Kate Middleton is pregnant!  As of yet unconfirmed, though.

  • I am freezing cold and getting sick again. I wish I was still at home in my warm bed.

    Ooo.  Interesting.

  • I may have decided on a color for my entryway (to replace the awful purple):

    image

    My living room is tan:

And my dining room is green:

You can see the both the hallway/entryway and dining room when sitting in the living room.  I like color Smile

  • Also, the tv and tv stand will eventually change.  Our tv is dying and we'll get a wall mounted flat panel, and the tv stand will be replaced with somethig smaller and more traditional to hold our electronics.  And the table and decor in the entryway will go away for something more kid friendly.

Very cool.  I hope she starts eating again.

  • I feel like everyone started saying Kate was pregnant the day after they got married. WOP, love the color!

Yeah, I just did a google search of "Kate Middleton anorexic" and the first result was dated July 18, 2011 and read "Kate is anorexic AND pregnant!"

    Haha.

  • Rumor's of the Duchess being PG have been going on for weeks now. Should be interesting to see if it is true or not. I'll be keeping tabs on it through the daily mail out of the UK.

My computer told me is was frigid this morning and it was right. My swackett program told me to but a snow suit on!

We are having lunch with a friend today. I'm going to a Partylite party on Sunday.

I had a area recently that I was doing my hair while singing "push it" by Salt N peppa. I'm not sure what that was about.

  • I got to snuggle with my new little niece last night. She was born two weeks ago at 32 weeks gestation. She did so well, that she got to come home Monday! She is up to 4 lbs.15 oz. Tiny and perfect.

    Eek!

When I see 7-8 lbs babies now, I wonder how the heck I ever handled T when he was that small.

I seriously cannot fathom handling a 4-5lb baby.  Wow.

  • I didn't read the link, but I'm disappointed that a network news org. would report something that wasn't confirmed.  Chymes, are you here?  Are you proud of me? ;)

Yay for early babies who are healthy and home.

My friend just had twin girls last week.  They're not home yet, they just need a little more time.

Arlo update: I think we're in the clear.  We did a day of white rice and chicken (and now when I'm at the stove, the dogs think I'm cooking for them), and yesterday he ate dog food, and kept it down.  YAY!

  • It's inappropriate to make critical comments of anyone's weight and to speculate on eating habits and/or disorders, no matter their size.

    Just sayin'.

    I'm sorry for my inappropriateness.

My opinion doesn't change, but I'll just keep it to myself.

    Word.

GRSP - I'm glad Arlo is okay, but I have no idea what was wrong.  Glad it's better though!

Yay for sweet little healthy babies.

WOP - I think you would die of boredom in my home.  You'd just walk in and two steps later you'd fall asleep because my walls are filled with neutral.

As someone who has always been bigger, I appreciate the kindness of people not making comments to me about my body.  Over the past few years, I'm learning (because I don't think it was a norm of society that I picked up) that women on the other side of that spectrum deserve the same kindness.

I don't follow the story of Kate M, but I do know that she lost a lot of weight pre-wedding.  If I knew her, unless she talked about a new diet or fitness routine, I might be concerned and privately address that.  It must be difficult to be so publicly scrutinized.  Part of the job description, I guess.

  • Inappropriateness has a spot here, I think.  We've all plunked down something here, right?

  • GRSP - you wouldn't happen to know how to resize the picture for the code you gave me, would you?

I just tried it, and the picture was huge.

  • I used to know, but then I just started using photobucket, which allows for sizing there.  But even that let me down last week, which is why I have no photo right now.

    Yes, of course.

My comment was just intended to be a friendly reminder.  I admit that it's a sensitive subject for me.
