My New(er) mommy mobile

So I have been wanting a newer car and wasn't planning on shopping until spring.  I usually will test drive a few vehicles a few months before I plan to buy just ot get an idea of what I like/want.  Well......I was looking at smaller suv/crossovers.  I test drove a chevy equinox....I liked it but DH thought it had a wicked blind spot.  I test drove a saturn vue.....loved it!  So cozy!  It was a 2007 with low miles (we never buy new).  Wasn't geeked about the price......I am so cheap! So I told the sales guy that it was more than I wanted to spend and walked away.  He calls back three days later with a lower price.  Woohoo!!  And I got an awesome % from MSU credit union.

Now I can fit DD, DH, a stroller, and groceries!  Yea!

BTW, my previous car was a ford focus.  Kinda teeny!

  • Congrats! That is awesome! I can't wait to get a bigger vehicle! I currently have a Dodge Neon. lol  We also don't buy new cars either. As soon as you drive them off the lot you throw away thousands of dollars. Enjoy your Vue!

  • Ooooooooooh I love the cute new Vues. The Equinox does have a bad blind spot. So does the Torrent (my mom has one). What color did you get?

  • Congrats! Enjoy your new ride!
  • I have a silver one.   I personally don't care for the color...I had a silver car years ago and it shows dirt and stuff.  But, when you buy used, color is not a priority.

It may show dirt, but it hides scratches! :o)

  • Congrats on your new mommy mobile.  I'm sure this is a lot better than a Focus!
