Baptism "Donations"

What is a reasonable "donation" to the church for a baptism?

Re: Baptism "Donations"

  • we usually do $25/week when we go to mass, so we bumped it up to $100.  i don't know if that was good enough or not but we go fairly regularly so i didn't feel the need to go overboard for the baptism.

  • I think we gave $100. I believe ours was actually a donation to the priest and not the church itself, but I'm not sure! We gave him a thank you card with the check in it.

  • We gave nothing. I had the Intention of doing 100 but forgot.
  • we gave $100 and it is not the church we regularly attend now, but its the parish I grew up in so I feel like they got plenty of our money

  • I think $100 is good-in addition to the wedding church fees, it was suggested that we "donate" $100 to the priest in a TY card...
