Something to do on Tgiving?
My aunt is going to be home alone on Thanksgiving in the Philadelphia area. We are having a celebration earlier in the week and another one later in the weekend, but she won't have anything to do on the actual day. Does anyone know of any volunteer opportunities, community meals, or anything else that she could do next Thursday?
Re: Something to do on Tgiving?
Try calling St. John's Hospice shelter at 12th & Race. (215) 563-7763. I believe they are always looking for volunteers.
The Salvation Army may also be able to point you in the right direction.
Try also Children's Hospital- not sure if they do any activities for the kids on Turkey Day.
Good luck!
