Houston Nestie - Which area to stay in
I'm searching for hotels online and know nothing about the area. DH is going for work in December and will be working from an office Wakefield, although he prefers to stay close to or in Boston and drive to the office every day. I will be with our five month old in the hotel, but I will probably try to get out a bit, so areas that are walkable work best for me. Which area is best?
Re: Houston Nestie - Which area to stay in
Hi! The Back Bay/Copley and Downtown/Boston Common areas would be the best options. There are tons of great hotels to choose from in those neighborhoods, from your standard Hilton/Kimpton (Nine Zero) to Four Seasons/Ritz/Taj.
Boston is a very walkable city (at least when it's not too cold out
). You can also take our subway system (the T) to pretty much anywhere you'd want to go as a tourist. From the Back Bay/Copley shopping area you can walk to the Commons and Public Gardens, Downtown Crossing, Fanueil Hall, etc. There's also a cool Children's Museum, but your DD is probably a little young
