Kinda excited!

Today Aiden has his first performance at school. They only sing two songs but then we get to have lunch together. I'm too excited to sit here and focus on homework for the next 2 hours. When I dropped him off this morning he got to start working on his feather headband. I can't wait to see him sing today! EEK! :D

I love my crazy child!

Re: Kinda excited!

  • That is exciting. Beckett's school doesn't do performances throughout the year, but watching them sing in their end of the year show last year was like the cutest thing ever. I'm sure it will be adorable, and Aiden will be so cute!

  • I remember when my niece did this type of Thanksgiving performance. It was so funny. Some kids belted the words out. Others had major stage fright. My niece just stood there watching everyone else. Enjoy!

  • It is exciting! I loved going to all of DD's little performances and she loved me being there! Just this year she was trying to get me to not come to the Veterens Day program she was ushering/cheering for (she is 13 in 8th grade), I told her sorry I'm coming! It was really cute and I think she liked that she had someone there! The next week her home ec class made a lunch for their family's, I was the only parent that came! I know I do not work, and other parents do, but the whole thing took 30mins, and the kids were so proud that they made a meal!

  • My poor little man was so nervous!!! When he first got on stage he looked terrified! The only close up pics we have of him he has his fingers in his mouth and he is almost shaking! He started to cry and ran back to hold his teachers hand. But after the first song he was doing a little better and his teacher moved him so we could see him again. He was doing better but was still too nervous to do the dance moves. But he was still adorable and he was proud of himself afterwards! ;)?
