cloth diaper supplies at Joanns
hi ladies! i went to Joanns today and i found this whole section of stuff called Babyville Boutique. they pretty much have everything you need to make diapers. a book with pictures and instructions, the PUL material either on the bolt or already cut into size and packaged in 3's, snaps, snap tool, elastic bias tape stuff for the leg holes, etc.
i'm sort of excited to make my first 3 and see how they come out. i also had coupons for 40% one item, 50% one item and then because i bought a lot of stuff (xmas gift for mom) i saved an additional $30 off my total. i was stoked!!
i bought flannel to make the soaking pads with and to line the inside of the diapers.
looks like their website is coming soon, but here's the link anyway: http://babyvilleboutique.com/

Yep- wish that line had been around when my two were in need! They really make it easy with their kits. I did buy their snap pliers- they work great and are really, really inexpensive when you get them with a coupon/on sale. I am happy with their snaps, too, but, they're SO expensive- you can get them much cheaper elsewhere. Haven't tried their PUL, but, I have a pack of their FOE that looks good.
Have fun. There's a 60% off one item coupon that's good until tomorrow, btw. Would be a great deal if anyone is looking for snap pliers!
ETA: I always use an additional 20% off coupon whenever I shop Joann's (I find printables all the time). I never buy something that's not on sale or isn't discounted with at least a 40% off coupon, and I regularly "save" more than I spend there.
Retailmenot has a 20% printable right now that's good through the end of the month.
This is another great site to grab coupons---

You can sign up to get emails when new coupons arrive. Don't forget to take your HL and Hancock coupons with you too since they honor them.

I saw this stuff at my Hobby Lobby today. The PUL seemed thin compared to another kind I got before. But I dont know much about PUL.

I just made 3 Babyville Boutique diapers today and yesterday. The book was pretty good at explaining the directions and the pictures were really helpful. I am really glad that I bought the book and will be buying more supplies in the future to make more diapers. I made small diapers for my unborn baby so I haven't had a chance to try them out yet so I don't know how well the PUL works but it seems like it's pretty good quality.
Oh, I also recently saw the same Babyville Boutique stuff at Hobby Lobby.

I, too, bought this stuff and recently made 3 diapers. like the above poster, the diapers i made are for an unborn child, so i don't know how they hold up. But yes,it's very exciting. I used 50% off coupons for every single thing I bought, which was even more exciting. Check out my blog to see the 3 i made.
barbie- that's exactly the pack i bought as we are team green. how neat to see pics of the finished product!! thanks for responding. you did a great job! i'm getting motivated to make mine.
it's great to get feedback from you ladies!
I'm also in the process of making CDs for a not yet conceived child. I have never personally used Joann's PUL, but I've heard from other people, personally and reviews, that their PUL isn't as good as others, lots of people complained it leaked. But if this is new PUL it could be of better quality. I would definitely test it out before making a bunch. I buy my PUL from Hancock's and it's a really nice quality. I'll definitely have to check out their stuff! I've been thinking about snaps just haven't done it yet
HTH!
