HELP! Moving to FL from NY
Hi,
My husband, 7 month old and I (and dog!) are relocating to FL from NY soon (job related) and being lifelong NYers, we're a bit overwhelmed. We can live almost anywhere in the state but right now we're researching the SE. We are looking for an area near a city (population around 30,000+) with access to many stores, restaurants, things to do, etc and good schools. This may not narrow it down (ha!) but I figured Floridians may be able to offer some guidance/insight.
Many thanks.
Re: HELP! Moving to FL from NY
We just moved from PA. Not sure about population numbers but, I'd check out Coral Gables and Brickell. Miami in itself is a big city. Some neighborhoods we've really liked: Palmetto Bay (where we currently are), Pinecrest, and Kendall. I'm sure there is more but those places are where I did most of my research. If your looking for good schools, look for A rated school districts. This site helped me: http://miamirealestatecafe.com/resources/school-resources/
The parks here are gorgeous!
My husband and I are moving to SE Florida in February (we live in Indy now). When are you all moving?
We arent sure where to live either (location wise). I've heard Pembroke Pines, Cooper City, Miramar are all nice areas.
