  • We're eating lunch/early dinner with FIL's family - all the local aunts, uncles and cousins on that side. Afterwards, we're stopping by my dad's house.
  • We'll be at my mom's house. One of my sisters will be there with her H and 2 kids. I think my aunt and uncle and my step-dad's mom will be there, too.
  • We are just spending it with each other this year, me, DH and DS. We are taking a break from traveling for once:)
  • We're spending it with my aunt and uncle, 2 cousins, and a few of their friends who we also know.

  • Thanksgiving is "our" holiday to host - my parents are coming down tomorrow and staying for the week, my brother's family of 5 will come for the day, and my wonderful friend SSW Big Smile.  It is even looking good that my husband may actually be in attendance - though with his silly job I won't actually believe it until he's sitting at the table and has had his first glass of wine Angry

  • we're doing winery tours on turkey day so basically DH and whoever else is on our tour. we'll be thankful for wines-giving!

  • a crew of 14 people coming to our house, mix of other friends who don't travel home, friends and our fun neighbors. our friends' six year old has spent every Thanksgiving of her life with us!
  • At our place.  My parents, my sister and her boyfriend will be attending.  I'm excited!

  • Just my parents and his parents! That's how small families roll...
  • just the 3 of us.  we were supposed to host like 16+ people, but that's a whole other story.  anyways, we're going to have a ridiculous amount of turkey leftovers!
  • We're hosting my parents and my sister this year.  DH asked to invite his parents, and promised me they'd never accept (I HATE ILs, they are cruel, abusive, mentally unstable, and always ruin every get together).

They cancelled their flights to Memphis, and decided to come.  I'm so pissed at DH, I'm tempted to pretend sick and call off Thanksgiving.

  • This is our non-travel year so no family.  We are hosting 4 friends (two couples) from different parts of our life so thay don't really know eacht other!  It is our first Thanksgiving in our house so I'm pretty excited!

  • Parents, brother/SIL, BIL/SIL, sister/sister's NEW BF, Aunt/Uncle/Cousin, Cousin, +neice, 2nephews, cousin's 2 kids.

Meeting the new boyfriend should be entertaining.  ;)  I'm supposed to be on my best behavior. I really hope he's not an a$$.

  • My brother and his girlfriend are hosting. We'll be there with her parents, her uncle, my mom, and my mom's BFF. So with DH and DS, it will be 10 people.

  • We're hosting.  We're just hosting a handful of friends- 6 people total I think- people who can't go home because of work obligations.

  • At one of DH's uncle's house for all the non-traveling family.  DH's family holiday dinners are so different (casual, unstructured) than what I was brought up with (formal) so it's a nice change.

  • We are hosting, just one other couple. They are from South Dakota and they don't have any family here either. Another friend and her daughter may come over during the day. They are going to someone else's house later on, but she is missing the fact that she won't be cooking, so she asked if she could come over & help me. I'm not going to say no to a helping hand in the kitchen!
  • DH and my father in law.

We never go back to WI for Thanksgiving and my in laws never used to come out by my mother in law passed away last month so we convenienced FIL to fly out to spend it with us (DH has no siblings).

  • My ILs get here today from Idaho. We're heading up to Baltimore on Thursday to spend Thanksgiving with with the ILs, BIL and SIL, who are hosting.

  • w'ere heading to my SIL's house but I cook the turkey (25 pounder), potatoes, cranberry sauce (this year with pomengrantes), as well as some sides (brussel sprouts, bc I love them!) and desserts (cherry pocket pies!) and John makes chantilly cream.

My SIL likes to host but does not cook so everyone gets ordered (srsly, ordered) to bring XXX and only XXX -- no variations. One year we brought the "wrong" squash.Oy. I need to start drinking now.

No repeat of last year's odd guest list.....(you'd have to be an oldie here to get that joke...)

    "What is a week-end?"
  • I love that everyone has such a wide variety of what they're doing and with whom!

We're hosting O's family. There'll be 14 of us. Usually they just do a "whatever we feel like making" potluck but they do that for EVERY holiday, so when I host Thanksgiving I make a turkey and stuffing so it seems like Thanksgiving to me.

  • My parents, three brothers, their wives, my nephew, my BFF and her boyfriend.
  • Going to kiahj's!

It's going to be a really untradtional thanksgiving for me.  I'm going to start it off by finishing the painting I started on Saturday, lol.  The area I have left to do is pitch black by the time I get home from work, and theres no light in there and its too cramped to bring in a lamp, so I can only do it first thing in the morning.

DH and I are having a mini thanksgiving by ourselves on Sunday though, since he won't get a "real" thanksgiving at work.

  • I'll be spending it with DH, my parents, and my in-laws at our place. Smile

  • Dh, Ds, friend whose DH is in Afghanistan, friend who is single and has no local family

  • I'm spending Thanksgiving with my parents, sisters, BIL, 2 kids, and about 25 cousins!  We haven't had an extended family GTG outside of funerals and weddings in so long!  I'm very excited.
  • We will be in Salisbury for the day to have dinner with my parents and sister. Thankfully it's only a two hour drive since we have to come back after dinner for work the next day.
