I need your opinions! (coffee cozy pattern)
So I want to make knitted coffee cozies for a few friends (likely paired with a Starbucks GC) for Christmas.
But I'm having trouble deciding on a pattern. Which one would you like best?
Cable Option 1:

Cable Option 2:

Or doing something super simple, like this, but embrodering their name on it with contrast yarn:

Re: I need your opinions! (coffee cozy pattern)
I like the first pattern, but it seems kind of bulky. It could just be because of the proportions of the cup is on though.
I really like the cable option 2 . It is pretty and seems cozy without being too bulky.
To be honest, I agree with this. Save your precious time and yarn for projects that will be appreciated more.

While I understand where you both are coming from, I really think the people I want to make them for would use them.

Well, in that case, I like the first one best.

I LOVE #2.
I made a ton of them (different pattern, I crochet) when N had her first surgery & I use them every time I get something to drink (hot or cold -- I don't like to touch the condensation on the cup) from starbucks/dunkin donuts/honey dew (yes, I go to all 3 ::hangs head:: )
J walks around with them on her wrists as bracelets when I'm not using one/
OK, then out of those options I vote for #2 or #3
Ditto!

I sew coffee cozies. I am not a frequent Starbucks etc buyer, but I still keep my cozy in my purse at all times. My sister keeps hers in her car for drive through runs. I think people who go there frequently would keep it handy.
#3 btw.

I love the first one! I would 100% carry this around with me and use it!
I'm wishing I knew how to cable knit now. Cute idea!
