High Res Photo CD

I'm hoping someone here can help me. I have my high res wedding photos on a cd. It is 2.3 GB. I want to copy the images to my hard drive so I can upload them to shutterfly and make a couple albums. However, our laptops keep freezing up when working with the cd. I can copy the first ten images to my local. It freezes after even opening an image after that. Any suggestions? TIA!

Re: High Res Photo CD

  • Use a flash drive.  They're much more compatible for transferring files that size.

  • You should be able to upload to Shutterfly directly from the cd.

  • If uploading directly from the cd doesn't work, you could also try this:
Close all non-essential programs (extra internet browser windows and tabs, music, etc.), then copy the picture in small batches (5 at a time).  Don't try to open any of them until they are all copied and the cd has been removed.
