hello tuesday!
TGIF! for me at least......mexico tomorrow! 
so my dogs have been staying at my IL's since we were out of town last week, and will be again this week... i miss them so much! we went to go visit them yesterday and had dinner with my IL's (as we will do again tonight), and i got lectured by my FIL 
he asked me about my bros wedding and i told him how i felt about it, and he was upset that i don't get along with my new SIL. (did he forget how much his own daughter hated me to begin with?!......regardless.....) so i told him some of the dirty details about this girl so now he's a little more understanding, but wants me to work on it. "family-is-family". ugh. ew.

TGIF for me too! Except I don't get to go to Mexico... I get to sleep in tomorrow though! I'm so happy to have a long weekend ahead.
Jenn... sorry about your FIL lecturing! That has to be the last thing you need right now, especially so fresh on the heels of that wedding weekend. Family is family, but that does not mean you should have to put up with her crap.

Jenn sorry about the FIL lecture. Man, what a rough situation. Hopefully Mexico will help you forget somewhat.
I do have to work tomorrow, although today I technically have nothing on my calendar. I do have a few tasks that need to get done. Tomorrow I'm on the Reference Desk at 7 am and I teach a class at 10:30. Hopefully I can leave early.

Good morning! H started playing his Skyrim game this weekend, and he's been averaging 3-5 hours a day playing that d@mn game. I've been pretty productive completing random chores around our apartment, so I've also been keeping busy.

Morning everyone! I've got a crazy week at work, so today's my Thursday

Mgoss, DH has been playing Skyrim too. Although I may actually start playing it some too, heh.
I need to go to get some fabric for my next project.
I also need to call my doctor. My foot's been really, really hurting and tylenol/advil isn't cutting it

I just finished grocery shopping for Thanksgiving; I want to fall over and sleep for a year now.
Also, we're buying a car tonight or tmw. Whee!
Good afternoon! I feel like this week is so crazy! H came to pick me up so I wouldn't have to be cranky and by myself waiting for people to possibly by my uncle's bookcase at 7 last night. We had a tasty dinner at Essential Bakery, then had half an hour to kill so did more Thanksgiving shopping before meeting the people (and happily selling the bookcase). Checked the pantry last night about some things I couldn't remember if we had, so we'll have a few more things to get tonight to round out what we need.
Sad news today: a friend just told me her biopsy didn't come back with good results - she most likely has cervical cancer.
Her biopsy showed both cancerous and pre-cancerous cells. She has a whole battery of tests on Friday to determine what stage everything is at. 
What makes me so angry is that her mother told her she was obviously too promiscuous because she's too young to have cervical cancer and they got into a huge fight. (Her doctor also said that there's a higher rate of it for people who have her immune deficiency, and her last pap was normal and she tested negative to HPV.) I'm going to be there for her as much as she'll let me, but I want to punch her mom right now. Can y'all send some Nestie vibes for her Friday tests (and that her mom chills the eff out)? We know those work so well!

I hope she and her family can take comfort from the fact that we do have some of the best cancer-fighting institutions in the country here in Seattle.
