Re: Hallmark commercials
My favorite will always be the older brother (Charlie?) coming home in time to sing carols with the family around the piano.

I need the option of "I need to start watching more TV because I have no idea what you are talking about."
If I saw it, I'd probably cry though.
Ditto this, except pretty much everything I watched on TV is recorded, so we fast-forward past commercials.
I forgot about machines that allow skipping commercials. I was going to put an "other" category, but figured this was either a or b. You kids and your c...
Katers, that Charlie... that one gets me too. Is that coffee, though?
Like Folgers? I don't think so... now I have to check YouTube.
There are very, VERY few commercials I will purposely avoid skipping. Off the top of my head, those are the Hallmark Christmas ones, and the Christmas Hershey's Kiss handbells.

This is a Folgers one, with "Peter" coming home. But it's not the one I was thinking of... must do more searching.

Oh shoot.
Found it.
It's Tom.

I just cried at a Chevy commerical. It was the one that the wife and kids found their dad's bevloved chevy car that he was forced to sell years ago. It took them 5 years to find the exact car. He was at the park with his wife and grandkids when his son drove up with the car. It was very touching.
This commercial gets me every time.
All ads speak to some sort of emotion. That's the point of ads. The ads that speak to emotion are, most likely, going to be the most effective. Look how long Katers has remembered the Tom ad.
If "C" is for the skipping commercials people, then I'll need "D" for "haven't seen it because I haven't had time to watch TV lately"...
Probably not going to Google it now, for fear of crying at work.
