Spotify

Does anyone use Spotify?  We just got a desktop for our first time because our laptop is finished and my netbook is not cutting it.  The desktop was open box and inexpensive, but we sprung for good speakers, and I finally got Spotify.  It is awesome!  I'm loving the jazz station right now.  6 months unlimited for free (you have the occasional annoying commercial but they're short) and then it's $4.99 per month which is totally worth being able to listen to whatever you want including all new releases.

Re: Spotify

  • I never heard of this before. What is it?

  • Have you ever heard of Pandora?  It's very much like that, but cooler :)  You can play entire albums, create playlists, listen to "stations" that you create, and there is a ton of music available on it.  I'm seriously loving it!

That reminds me, are you still teaching dance?  I remember you were having a hard time with getting classes cut and you were making a decision, but I don't remember what it was?  Spotify would be a great place for you to find new music!

  • I heard babies like jazz so right now we're listening to some Miles Davis :)

  • Thanks, I'll have to check it out. So its not free? I love Pandora.

Yes, I'm still teaching dance. Far less classes than I used to. I ended up deciding to teach anyway, because I enjoy it. I wish I didn't though. The director is driving me crazy & I have very few of my old students, so its really not that enjoyable. But.. I made the commitment for the year.
With this baby coming in June, it will be the perfect excuse to make my exit. I'm planning on taking the year off & then starting fresh the following year someplace else.
