XP: Christmas help

Ok, I need more shopping help.  I have no idea what to buy The Boy for Christmas.  He is so hard to shop for because he is one of those if he sees it and want's it - he buys it.  He loves Nascar (Jimmy Johnson #48 is his fave if you care), he has a smoker barrel that he built himself so he likes to smoke/bbq.  He loves electronics.  If it's new, he has to have it (he has the iPad, iPod Touch, iPhone, XBox Kinect, Nintendo DS 3D, Playstation 3, Wii).  He likes clothes, but is really hard to shop for in that dept.  For his birthday this past week, I got him this really nice electric knife sharpener, a 90 minute massage, a new pair of shoes and some money when we went to Reno which he LOVED.  I'm looking to spend around $250 on him for Christmas - can you help?

Thanks!

Re: XP: Christmas help

  • What about concert tickets or event tickets or football game tickets?

Or with that budget a trip for a weekend.

Yeah, if he buys everything that he wants, then experiences are much better gifts than stuff. A day trip somewhere, concert or sports tickets, some kind of cooking class, etc.

  • I agree with the experience idea.  I did that for DH one year for Christmas (a nascar one) and he loved it.

How about something to do with BBQ/smoking, since he likes that?  I've seen some restaurants do a tastings menu where they pair wine/beer with sifferent meats and teach different ways to prepare it, the differences in using different smoking techniques, etc.  I wish I could remember where I saw it.  If I can find it again I will post you a link.
