Christmas gift for the personal trainer?

Yes or No? I'm leaning towards yes, but I'm at a loss for the type of gift. Cash is out of the question, he gets enough of my money, haha.

Re: Christmas gift for the personal trainer?

  • I've been mulling this over myself, and have decided to definitely put my PT on my gift list, and I am going to give her the same as I give the cleaning folks: one week's pay in cash/visa gift card. Some part of me wants to be a little more personal about it, but I think this will be appreciated more.
  • My mom is a personal trainer and quite a few of her clients have gotten her gifts over the years.
  • Yes if I had a PT - I would get them a present Big Smile

  • When I had a PT I used to give him a $25 gift card either to a restaurant or someplace like ***'s Sporting Goods.

  • I say yes... the problem is I like to do home-baked goods for people like that but something tells me my health-nut trainer wouldn't exactly appreciate my double chocolate fudge cookies... ETA Cash seems impersonal, but is also probably what they'd appreciate most so I will probably do that!
  • I personally wouldn't.  I don't understand when people give gifts to everyone they are aquainted with.  I don't even do gifts with friends, it is family only.

  • A personal trainer isn't an acquaintance; a PT is a service provider like a house cleaner. So a holiday gift is warranted, just like you would give one to your doorman, cleaner, etc. It's also why I've decided to give my PT cash instead of an item.
  • I'd do something generic like restaurant or movie gift cards. No need to go all out for your PT.

  • I have a personal trainer and Pilates instructor that I will be buying gifts for - they will each be getting a $50 restaurant gift card.

Now I have no clue what to get our cleaning lady... I've never met her and we just started using her 2 months ago...
