Re: Where are my Aggies?

  • Downtrodden. Seriously, need to avoid watching the 3rd quarters.
  • What a game!!
TTC #1 since June 2008 *SAIFW*

  • I am so much sadder than I was prepared for...and I don't even mean the loss, which hurts enough as it is.

I really hope the people in high places realize what a mistake it is to end this rivalry.  I know the Aggie fans AND the Longhorn fans that I know want it to continue.

  • I was driving to pick DH up from the game when tu kicked the FG and was so upset I missed the exit to university from 6. I'm usually not too upset about the outcomes for more than a little while, but I think this is going to bother me longer because there is no next year. That was always the consolation.
  • I have no voice left after that game. I had a small amount of hope after Fuller caught the TD, but I knew we had left too much time on the clock. The interference ( or personal foul call) was terrible, and set up the meltdown in the last minute.

So sad, for such potential going into this season, they were so disappointing. I really can't even look forward to next season because we are going to be chewed to pieces. The worst part is all the t-shirt fans coming out of the woodwork to talk crap.

  • I'm so with you, Pamela.  I was trying to explain to Marisa why I was sad, and then I realized she'll never get it.  Because this game won't be an integral part of her childhood like it was mine.  Then I cried some more.

It's so much more than just a football game.

I'm right there with you on the Missouri side of things with the rivalry against Kansas.  I am SO bummed that the rivalry is not going to continue.  Unfortunately, in our case - the KU fans seem to be ok with it ending.  In fact, Bill Self (ku's bball coach) said that he would be fine with never playing Missouri again.  That really bums me out.

I don't care if it's basketball or football...the MU v KU rivalry has got to continue.  The history is so deep there.

As a Longhorn, ITA. I think we all look forward to Thanksgiving because of the game... not only is  it a school tradition but it's a Texas and family one, too.

I live in CS, and it will certainly make antagonizing my Aggie coworkers less enjoyable now that there's no rivalry Sad

Yep, this Texas Ex is sad.  My family's Thanksgiving will never be the same. Sad
