Charting TTA

hey nesties I need some advice, any of you charting to AVOID getting preggers?

I?ve been charting for about a month on fertilityfriend.com, but the site says that it?s specifically for TTC, -not very encouraging.

My free VIP FF is almost over, so I wanna know your thoughts on me purchasing the memebership, or trying Cyclendar.com, which is for both TTC and TTA, thing is Cyclendar doesn?t give you a free trial, any of you know if it?s any good or better than FF??

Re: Charting TTA

  • I somewhat chart for TTA, and I see no reason why you need a website membership to do so. You can use a notebook and pen, or an excel spreadsheet. If you know what you need to chart (temp, mucus, signs) then you won't have any problems jotting down your own, free notes. I'm all about saving money.
  • Lurking from the bump... but tcoyf.com (Taking Charge of Your Fertility) has free options, as well as galleries of TTA charts and an online community. I'm using it for TTC, but I'm sure it works just as well for TTA. Good luck!

  • Definitely check out the TCOYF.  You shouldn't have to pay to chart.  Both the book and the website come with free charts that you can make copies of, print, or use online.
  • I used MyMonthlyCycles.

This. I use FF TTC, not TTA, but I don't see a whole lot of benefit for using the VIP version.

  • I agree with everyone else who said get a copy of Taking Charge of Your Fertility. It is great for TTA or TTC. It has charts you can copy and no need for a website.

  • Do you have a smart phone? There are apps that chart for you. I use the app My Days. I have been using this for a year and a half and it has worked great so far.

  • I use FF and have an app for my iphone. I've never bought the VIP membership and find the regular membership to be just fine. The VIP features are only focusing on pregnancy symptoms and chances of pregnancy statistics. If you like FF, then I would just stick with it. The VIP membership isn't worth the money if you aren't TTC but you'll still have all the features you need.
  • Thank you all very much, I think I?ll keep charting on FF and will not purchase the VIP feature, as you are right about it being all about TTC.

    Good luck to you!

  • Get your self a copy of Taking Charge of Your Fertility. It is a great book. I will give you more info than just a charting site.

I agree. I read the whole book thinking. Why didn't anyone ever tell me this?

Seriously, TCOYF changed my sex life - I got off the pill and my sex drive increased and i knew when I was most likely to conceive so I knew when to either not have sex or use a condom.  Best purchase I've ever made.  And it also tells how to achieve pregnancy when or if you're ready.
